The annual Open House at JPL–Pasadena’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, which designs and manages many NASA programs–will be Saturday, June 9th & Sunday, June 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Suggestions from past experience:

If  you want to spend the day, you’ll either want to bring food or cash to spend at the many vendors.

Many exhibits are outside (or the lines to get in are) so wear sunscreen.

While you can bring small kids, a lot of the exhibits refer to concepts that aren’t accessible for the littlest children. Understanding others depends on captions toddlers will be unable to read. There are also lines to wait in. For these reasons, I’d suggest that the best ages for visiting JPL are 6 years old and up.
