As mentioned in a previous post, rides this weekend (April 28-29, 2012) on the new Expo Line will be free! Here’s some more free local fun in the days ahead:

THIS WEEKEND:

Festival of Childhood in Echo Park http://www.echoparenting.org/festival-of-childhood.html

Santa Monica Mountains Science Festival. http://www.nps.gov/samo/sciencefestival.htm

NEXT WEEKEND:

The TreePeople will host a Green City Fair promoting healthy lifestyles and sustainable changes. FREE workshops will be held throughout the day on Saturday, May 5 , 2012 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 12601 Mulholland Drive in Beverly Hills.

The Homestead Museum will host a free Victorian Fair on Saturday & Sunday, May 5 & 6 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. While entry is free, you might want to bring spending money for crafts and food. You can even dress in Victorian-era costume, if you want!

Plus, Red Tricycle had a great article this week about local nature centers that are free or cheap and located right in our area.
