Some local SoCal fun is seasonal. All summer long, Marina del Rey runs a WaterBus on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It will take you to various points along the marina; you can get on and off at six points, or just ride round trip. You can use the WaterBus to take the kids to Mother’s Beach. On a date, use the water taxi to reach Fisherman’s Village for a meal, a drink, or an ice cream. On August 27th, you can ride and then listen to Frankie Avalon in Burton Chace Park for free. Or, just enjoy the beautiful scenery visible along the route. If you’re lucky you’ll see pelicans or even sea lions!

Best of all, the official Marina del Rey WaterBus costs just ONE DOLLAR! Awesome.

WaterBus service only runs until Sept 6th. If you run out of time this summer, there’s always next year…water bus service will start again the last week of June. For more info, follow this link.
